Dissertation, Thesis & Research Writing Support

Writing a dissertation or thesis can be an isolating experience.

Whether you're developing a research proposal, planning a dissertation chapter, working towards a PhD, or preparing an academic application, it can be difficult to find the space to think through ideas, establish a clear structure, and maintain momentum.

I offer one-to-one support for postgraduate researchers and prospective doctoral students who would benefit from thoughtful feedback, practical guidance, and accountability.

I have a PhD in creative and critical writing and I’ve taught in higher education for more than a decade — including postgraduate modules on practice-based and practice-led research. Alongside my work with creative writers, I have supported postgraduate students with doctoral applications, research writing, and large-scale academic projects.

How I can help

I offer support with these areas of academic writing:

• Clarifying the structure of a dissertation or thesis

• Developing and organising ideas

• Building confidence as an academic writer

• Creating realistic writing plans

• Working through writing blocks and procrastination

• Feedback on drafts and chapters

• Preparing PhD applications and research proposals

• Maintaining momentum on long-term projects

I do not write or rewrite student projects or complete assessed work. My role is to support you in developing your own ideas, writing practices, and academic voice.
